Computer is still broken. HP Japan doesnt have the same type of parts i need for my laptop so now i have to get them sent from Korea or Canada.

The big Problem: they want the broken part returned within 15 days.. uhhh.. international shipping ain’t that effecient.

Not sure what I will do .. but i should do something. Thinking the Korea option is easiest and cheapest.

I hate you HP.

My weekend:

Went  snowboarding this weekend.. which was awesome. The Japanese are pretty good at snowboarding ( as opposed to the koreans who stand around at the bottom doing nothing) and the hill was a good size with 1 huge half pipe, 1 small half pipe and a bunch of tables and rails. Since I hadn’t been snowboarding in 4 years.. ah! .. I bailed a lot .. but i had a good time trying to rail and spin like i used to be able to do. Now my ass is sore. I was smart enough to stay out of the big half pipe.. been there, broken myself to many times. 

I also got a free snowboard and boots because my manager is moving back to Canada in 2 months and he doenst like snowboarding. I had borred his stuff to go and then he was just like “keep it , i dont want it”.. uhhh ok. Free $1000 snowboard and boots.. nice. Its brand new too cause he only went 2wice.. sweety!

Sunday i was planning on going into Tokyo but saturday night turned into a party and i called it quits at 4am so i didnt have see the sun come up while i was still drunk. The problem in Japan is people dont go out until 12 - 1 am and go home around 4 -5 am.. bars close at 7am.  If you go out at 10 or 11 .. all the bars and clubs are pretty empty. Its fucked when you walk out of a club and its a sunny new day.. i dont really like that. 

Back doing the teaching thing.. really trying to figure out when im leaving japan or whats happening.. with surf season on the horrizon staying longer seams more viable..

I’m actually impressed its still running this.. i can’t even look at a C:\ .. I cant open windows explorer at all… but i can listen to an mp3.. ?? oh oh.. it just stalled for like 15 seconds.. my typing is delayed..

I’m about to call you and you better give me a free hard drive because this computer is only 2 months old! I’m sending you my emotional pain…. !!!!! AAARRRGGGGGGGG

can you imagine how angrey i am.

Dudes.

My laptop is fucked. And that sucks… every since got it it hasnt really worked right.. except for the first few days. I thought something was wrong with the registry because i removed some Korean programs .. eventually it crapped out and i had to reload everything.

After I did all that , it worked perfectly.. then it started to crap out again.. i looked at the Event Logs and there are disk error msg’s and warnings .. one of them has the super awesome msg “hard drive failure is imminent , please back up your files”

I went into the BIOS and tried to test the drive.. ya.. no! TEST FAILED.. thats great.

So I got a computer with a hard drive that didnt last longer than a week. Great. Fucking Great.

I want to punch someone in the face. How am i supposed to get a new hard drive in Japan!?

Balls.

Back in my apt. in Suzumenomiya.. Left Korea at 9am in the middle of snowstorm.

The plane ride was turbulent and short thank god! Because of my sinus infection my head didnt pressurize right and had the worst sinus headache ever at 30′000 feet. And my ears wouldn’t pop, so that hurt a lot too… ugh.

Happy New Year!

I spent mine on a couch with a fever watching Star wars Episode 1. Seongwha and I did go out for a nice french dinner and eat over priced steak, but i wish we could have been downtown Seoul where 100’s of thousands of people were shooting off roman candle’s. I saw it on TV and it looked like fireball chaos.

I went to the doctor today though, and now I feel way better. He told me it will take atleast a month to get completely over it. Doh…but i guess thats what happens when your sick for 4 months… balls!

I also just went and saw Casino Royal.. it was entertaining.. but was really hard to follow. I wasn’t quite sure what happened.. so I think Seongwha was extremely lost during the movie if even I couldn’t tell what was happening and why. But explosions are cool.. so it wasn’t bad. And it’s nice when a medium pop cost $1.50 instead of $5.
