Im at work right now.. feeling the pain in my legs that makes you limp around like a old man… When i was going to Mt.Fuji for some reason i had a feeling of apprehention. I later remembered that it came from my body remembering how painful it is to climb mountains. Real mountains. The himalayas were sweet.. but they were also spaced over 12 days of walking. Mt. Fuji was our one shot.. straight up then down. In the end it took 12 hrs to do it all..
The beginning … invisioning ourselves in the wake of Mt.Fuji.
After our 6hr drive across japan.. we slept in a parking lot.. the tent beyond the car was where i tried to get 4hrs of sleep.. thats a big NO! I spent most of the night in high alert attack mode.

This is a creepy abandoned wind mill on the side of a mountain.. it was definatly the scene of something aweful. I was all creeped out.

After defeating the super Japanese Ice monsters I leveled up and was rewarded with my underground Ice palace ..
Mt.Fuji is surounded by 5 lakes.. this is one of them, you cant see Fuji cause its all cloudy. We slept by this lake since we didnt sleep all night.. this is about 5 hrs before we go up the Mountain.

I think this is when we all started getting altitude sickness cause we looks really happy.. and climbing 1000`s of meters up doesnt make you happy until your done.
This is probably around 3200 meters.. or something like that. I dunno cant read japanese. Starting to feel like dieing though. The crazy thing about this hike is that we did it in moon light so everything was grey blue.. seeing color in the photos is weird. I also thing i started getting altitude sickness around now .. which make you feel all high and messy.
Right before the top you cross the double lion protectors.. which is sweet except you dont get burned by lazers if you have unpure thoughts like in Neverending story. This is about 4am..

Driving away you could actually see the mountain. In the end we had perfect weather .. no rain, no wind..
We hiked Mt.Fuji in 8hrs with lots of breaks but no sleep for almost 3 days. At this point i`d like to endorse Snickers Bars. Its that great chocopeanut energy you need when your on top of volcano halucinating from lack of oxygen and sleep.
