Hapyy Canada Day..what do you mean you don’t speak english!?

So Canada Day came and went with me on the exact opposite side of the planet. How was it? Did it rain? Or was it really nice and sunny?

This weekend I went to the local weekend market, which was a fun… sunglasses for 80cents! But I restrained myself and bought only weird fruit. I need to keep my clothes buying under control or else I will have to much stuff to put in my bag.
On Saturday I was taken to a lunch party at a school in the country. This school has 47 students and no chairs or desks, the students sit on the floor. But the countryside of I-San (the part of Thailand I’m in) is really nice. After we went to Roi-Et City and visited the museum or Roi-Et and the fish museum. Both were interesting, especially the fish museum cause it had this tunnel walk way underwater where you can look up at the stingrays.
Today I got to drive a motorbike! HAHA no licence no experience..all balls. Then we went to a HUGE Temple on a mountain (Can’t remember the name of it, it’s a Thai name that’s long) This temple covered the entire top of this hill/mountain and had 5 really big floors. At the top you can look out over I-San and see the boarder of Lao. At the very top is a room that is supposed to hold the bones of the Buddha. I got to take a moment to pray and think about what its like to be in a room that has the physical remains of such a being, which I’ve found is really hard to grasp. But it was really cool anyways.

Other than that heres’ a few observations about Thailand that I can think off …
- No toilets, there’s a porcelain thing with a hole but its not a seat its more of a suggested place to stand. And there is no flush, you pour water in it to ‘flush it’
- Motorbikes of the 100 or 125 size or the most popular way to travel, where ever you look you will see swarms of kids on bikes.
- driving age in Thailand is 13.. dang yo.
- Rice for breakfast, rice for lunch, rice for dinner, rice as dessert
- Food here isn’t just spicy it’s down right painful at times
- Every Thai town has aerobics at 6pm.. no matter where you are in Thailand you can have an aerobic workout in the park. Everyone can see you sweat!
- Gay culture is at its peak here.. I have 12 year old ladyboys in my class and on one in Thailand thinks twice about it.
There’s a tone more.. whateves.
Peace out.

Some pics from my english camp sent to me by a Thai teacher..quality is poor but I can upload on dail up so you know.. asia n stuff

edit : ..had to take the pics off cause they were messin stuff up

No rain, it was really nice actually. I spent most of it on a plane from the US, so someone else may have more accurate information.

I think that cute girl in the back of the last picture is looking at your ass. ;)
