こんな写真がネット上に出回っています。
ハリケーン「カトリーナ」で大きな被害を受けたニューオリンズにあるマクドナルドです。
写真のタイトルは「mcdhomelessマクドホームレス」。。
こんな酷いハリケーン被害が出ていなければ、素直に笑える作品(？)だったのかも知れませんが、「カトリーナ」のみならず「リタ」までもが大暴れのアメリカの現状を知っていて、これを見て笑える人はそうはいないでしょう。
一刻も早い被災地の復興を願って止みません。

The picture may not be very funny for some, but I think what the person who took the photo is trying to get at, is that even a multi-national corporation (with heaps of money and resources) like McDonalds can be hit hard by the forces of nature. For someone who despises multinational conglomerates for their greed and explotiation of third world resources and labour, then this picture WOULD bring a smile to their face.
