Well the first week here went fairly well! I finally seem to over the jet-lag (I feel like an old man for Christ’s sake). We hung out with a bunch of our friends this week for various outings to places around and inside Tokyo, and everything has been cool.

I got to play a Playstation 3 at the Sony Building - specifically Gran Turismo 4 HD. It was visually gorgeous, way nicer looking than I expected… but it’s still Gran Turismo 4 with zero damage and shitty A.I. Not to mention I’m quite sure that the copy I own on the PS2 outputs in 1080i already (if I had an HD television). The launch of the system was today, but I didn’t see it basically because I forgot it was on the 11th here but no big deal.

Oh and last night I ate horse sashimi! Yeah that’s right, uncooked. It tasted pretty much exactly like I expected, and though I ate two slices I’ll probably never try it again in my life but at least I can say I have now :-)

Also Matt I miss you dearly please call - you never answer! If Matt agrees I’ll go up and hang out with him after he works during the following week. And that’s about it for now.

Horse? As in “neigh. . brl brl neigh”??

That’s so bizarre!!! What did it taste like? I imagine something like reindeer or venison???

I had a question for you. .. I know nothing of video games as you know and I want to get Richard some games for Xmas. He has a PSP, PS2, and then a wicked computer (which can probably play anything) .. I’m thinking PSP games might be better as he has the fewest of those? He likes that driving one where you kill people, and Sims. . and Second Life. .and other killing ones I don’t know the name of.

    Help?

Also, send me your resume if you want to work for a consulting firm! We may have something open, I don’t know for sure. .but I will try my damndest if you want. It’s a very relaxed environment with all sorts of cool projects, only downside is they’re very immesed with .NET (which I am trying to slowly change).

Thank you so much. All the best to you and Chi.

Yeah as in real horse. Tasted like beef basically. Apparently it has a horrible smell so most people here slather it in garlic before eating it, but I didn’t notice the smell.

As for Richard’s games - there’s a Sims 2 game that’s supposed to be pretty good, and I’ve heard great things about “Syphon Filter”. Check here for a decent list of reviews - basically anything 8 and up is a sure bet. I sold mine recently and haven’t bought games for it in a while, so I’m out of touch :-)
