GMail invites.

If anybody else wants GMail invitations, post here. It seems like Google is giving everyone five a day - if they’re ramping up this fast, I’d guess that the beta is almost finished.

I’m not getting five a day. In fact, I don’t have any. What gives?

Alright, I sent them all out. Sorry for taking a while (timezones and all).

Robin, you don’t get invites because you suck.

Damnit, there goes my idea for getting invites.

And I thought sucking was the solution for pretty much everything.

I’ve got 3 Gmail invites for either a) Friends of mine online.. Or b) Regulars to Lukeys Neuro-tech here.. Just hit my blog and post a comment with your email.. If you aren’t someone I usually see here on Neuro-tech I will ask Luke who the hell you are first!

Yeah, I got a bunch more too. Google be crazy.

It’d be nice if they just opened the damned thing instead of relying on everyone inviting everyone else.

I agree. Apparently there is no shortage anymore… I don’t get their logic at this stage anymore… Unless they are either A> About to open it up to the public, or B> Shut the thing down due to costs / etc… We’ll see…

Google is in their quiet phase of the IPO, meaning that they can’t make any large announcements. The system is probably ready for the public, but since they can’t press release that they’re opening it they just keep sending out invites.

Plus, this way it keeps all the blogs talking about GMail.

If you have another one of those for an obscure yet rotund fellow canuck, I’d love to get my grubby hands on one. Saw someone at a public terminal today using their account. I suddenly felt so low on the Geek ladder. Please help me alleviate this. LOL

    Thanks

Haha, I pushed invites on all my friends and have resorted to giving them out willy-nilly in #gmail on efnet :) Up to six a day now, yeesh.

Damn Chris, I didn’t know you were still blogging. I had the old web address from your last site.

Anyways, I sent the invite to you.

Well I dunno if I’m STILL blogging, so to speak. Just decided to grab up the domain before some freak does. Excuse me… some OTHER freak does.

Thanks very much. I will use it in good health. :-)

    They’re about to go public.

I’ve had my gmail account for a week now and I already have 6 invites a day. I’d expect that a public offering is weeks away at this point.
