Matthew Richardson is… the Lord of the Dance!
I’ve been dying to use that title for so long - just to fuck with people who search for Matt.
Long time, no post. Busy as shit at work, and any spare time at home I have is spent bonding with the new PC. I’m sure you all understand. I’ve got Linux and Windows 2000 both working beautifully on the thing, and they both fly like bats out of hell. Some of the games I’ve tried out:
- Warcraft 3 - Rocks.
- Simcity 3000. Kicks my ass.
- Simcity 4. How the fuck was this ever released? The patch causes more problems than it solves.
- Enemy Territory. Kicks my ass - and impregnates my dog! For real, get this one.
- Command and Conquer Generals - Half-decent. Good nostalgia value. Anthrax rules.
- Quake 3. All time classic baby.
Some other random shit:
- Capricorn One is the original Wag the Dog, only better. Plus it has O.J. in it for bonus points.
- Notice how there’s still no goddamned public reason for the power going out? And how it also went out across London?
- The latest X-Windows driver for my laptop suddenly stopped compiling. I hit a moment of hardcore geek transcendence when I fixed it.
- Freddy Vs. Jason is fun to watch, but I don’t recommend paying for it. The dialogue is simply amazing; Matt and I almost wet our pants laughing at some of the lines.
- Two of my coworkers are now running Linux on their work systems (the aforementioned Matt included). And I didn’t twist any arms!
- Madonna kissed Britney Spears. Rock on.
That’s it. The long weekend is upon me, and I’m stoked. Having a bunch of people over on Sunday, should be loads of wholesome fun.

Generals is awesome.. The chinese kick ass.
There’s some good mods, too. One we tried here adds flamethrower dudes to china, a giant battleship to the us, and toxin cropduster planes to the gla.

sim city 4 was/is a great idea, many of the gameplay elements had me slogging thru the bullshit just to try them out.
re: the power going out. it wasnt just london. check out http://www.livejournal.com/~uglytraffic/9094.html?mode=reply for some links. it hit russia and finland as well.
