Hanami photos.

My friend Ichige sent me some photos from that hanami party I went to a while back… Click on ‘em to enlarge them. Oh and my girlfriend is not in any of them.

Will this hell never end?

Good God, a week later and I’m still feeling horrible. This is worse than that time I had my appendix taken out. Drastic measures will be taken if I don’t start feeling better soon.

Spoke too soon.

Still coughing a little bit, at work now. Booo! Oh yeah, and how much does this suck: I got Matt all sick now.

Sickness be gone!

I believe that I’m no longer sick! Woke up all early and everything with my cough gone, but I’m still skeptical…

Weekend.

Pathetic as it is, I’m still a little sick. My parents were down for the weekend to visity my cousin so they helped out a lot around the house and cleaned and what not.

Didn’t go out much really - had lunch with my mom at a cafe near my house here which was cool. Most of the time we just ordered food in (big surprise).

Since I spent most of the weekend lying around coughing my ass off I had some time for video games, which I haven’t played in like two months. Hit up Final Fantasy X-2 for a bit. There’s already a bunch of FAQs and an awesome translation effort going on.

The game kicks a lot of ass. It’s split into (I think) 5 “Story Levels”, and you get a percentage indicator to show how many sidequests and missions you’ve completed a la GTA3. It’s the first time they’ve had a completion guage in any of the Final Fantasy series and I think it’s about damned time. The actual missions themselves are awesome - your party (Yuna, Rikku and Paine) are Sphere Hunters, who search for the memory spheres that were in FFX. So a lot of the missions have you finding these memory spheres and getting to play them back… The first sphere contains a small flick of Tidus from the first game - but don’t worry, I won’t spoil anything.

Right now I’ve just made it to story level two - I rule! Heh, not really, but still. It’s a good game, I’ll post more when I play more. Oh yeah, and the soundtrack - although by a different composer than the norm - is really good.

Watched Fubar with the parents - damn what a kickass movie. If you wanna know what it’s like where me, Ron, James and Matt all grew up (even though it was different towns) then watch this flick. It’s bang on in showing how people in small or out of the way places live. If I hadn’t moved out as soon as I was legally allowed to (kidding) I’d be one of the guys in Fubar.

Ugh.

So I’ve been back for a couple days now and I’m sorting out the nightmare that my life has become after being gone for so long.

I’ve got an enormous stack of mail to go through (none of it is junk mail), tons of bills to pay, a ton of stuff to do at work. And a whole bunch of administrative shit surrounding the cancellation of Submail.

I did get to see some friends though, hung out with Matt and James, so that was cool.

Also, my parents are now staying with me for the weekend - home cooked food, sweet! They’ve also amazingly enough helped cleanup the mess I call home. Oh, and they actually watched the Jackass movie with me.

Now I’m at work, still sick as a dog.

Sick as a damned dog.

This sucks, I’m totally sick. My parents are coming tomorrow to visit, so I have to clean up… While sick. I got nothing more to say. Maybe later.

Short and sweet.

Turns out I don’t have SARS, which is good. Had a horrible dry cough all day, so I called Telehealth and talked to a nurse; since I don’t have any fever, it’s all good!

On another unrelated note, my friends Matt and Ron both have their blogs up, hosted on this Linux machine as well.

Whoah.

Made it into work today on time, back in Toronto. And I’m slightly sick too.
